WHAT IS LOW VISION?

Low Vision is defined as fully corrected vision which is insufficient to do what you want to do, usually caused by Macular Degeneration or other eye conditions.


WHAT DO LOW VISION DOCTORS DO?

    • Dr. Jimmy So starts with a free telephone consultation. He will ask questions about your present level of vision and the tasks you are having trouble with. If you qualify, he will offer you an appointment for a low vision evaluation.

    • At the appointment, Dr. Jimmy So will carefully determine your level of vision. He will analyze the tasks you wish to do in terms of the amount and type of magnification you need and the amount of lighting and other factors required.

    • With demonstrators of telescope and microscope glasses, filters, hand held and electronic devices, Dr. Jimmy So will help you achieve your goals.

    • Once you determine that the glasses/devices help, they can be ordered.


    WHAT IF MY VISION CHANGES AFTER A SHORT WHILE

        Dr. Jimmy So will perform a re-evaluation and adjust your Low Vision device accordingly.
